Under the Tin Roof
This charming cottage offers the feel of a classic Florida home, featuring the bright colors we love so much, lots of windows that let in the sunlight, and a very comfortable covered patio where guests can sit, sip, and watch the sun set over the neighborhood. Tile floors feel cool beneath bare feet, and the tin roof that looms above is especially enchanting during a light Florida rainstorm. There is no more peaceful sound than that of rain falling gently on a tin roof as guests stay cozy and dry inside! This home has been recently renovated, and the red leather couches in the living room are one of our favorite parts of the home. Placed for easy television viewing and quiet conversations, they provide a modern touch that belies the retro feel of this North Beach beauty. The fully equipped kitchen is bright, comfortable, and located just steps away from the dining room, almost appearing to be an eat-in kitchen, even though each space is clearly defined. Even if you don’t choose to cook any meals, the dining space can still be a popular one as you snack on donuts purchased from one of our local bakeries, sip coffee each morning to prepare yourself for a day of fun under the Florida sun or take some time to plan the next day adventures, fortified with a glass of wine!
Colorful bedrooms, decorated in shades of soft greens and a variety of shades of blue, still maintain a serene peace that ensures each night’s sleep will be ones you remember fondly when you return to your normal state of sleep deprivation in real life. Retro yellow tiles in the bathroom serve as a cheerful reminder of the rich history of the home just as the oversized flipflops hanging on the wall will remind you that the winter boots you have to wear at home are tucked away in a closet, not needed during your fabulous Florida getaway!
A full-sized washer and dryer allow for light packing and more room for souvenirs purchased right here in town and finishes up the tour of what may be the home that shelters you on your upcoming visit to New Smyrna Beach!
