The Port Orange Family YMCA Triathlon is a three-part race that takes place in the nearby town of Port Orange, FL in late July of each year. On the third Saturday of July each year, Port Orange hosts the Port Orange Family YMCA Triathlon, an intense race comprised of a 500-yard swim within the Intracoastal Waterway, a 12 miles bike ride down Highway A1A, and a 4-mile run over the Dunlawton Bridge and down Riverside Drive.
Prior to the Port Orange triathlon, runners receive a race shirt and a goody bag, provided that they meet the registration deadline in early June, which includes a registration fee of $62.00 per person. Packet pickups are held at The Hub Cycling on the afternoon before the race at 4:00pm. The Hub Cycling is located at 3751 S. Cycle Morris Blvd #5, Port Orange, FL 32129.
On race day, the race begins at Aunt Catfish’s On the River at 7:00am and ends at 12:00pm, taking place rain or shine. In the event of extreme circumstances, the YMCA may cancel the triathlon Florida. Aunt Catfish’s On the River can be found at 4009 Halifax Dr., Port Orange, FL 32127.
