Rebecca Merritt
Guest Services & Reservations
Rebecca has dedicated much of her life to the hospitality industry, where helping people has always felt like a true calling. Since the age of 23, she has built a career centered around creating meaningful experiences, genuine connections, and making others feel welcomed and cared for. Over the years, she has earned extensive hospitality certifications and training through leading brands including Best Western, Hilton, and Marriott, along with additional industry education that reflects her commitment to continuous growth. Her passion for people extends far beyond the workplace through volunteer work with hospice and the fire department, where she has continued to serve her community with compassion and heart. Rebecca’s warm personality and creativity are a huge part of who she is. Named after Dolly Parton, she even trained as a Dolly impersonator and still loves performing today. Alongside her husband, she brings joy to nursing homes through fun 1950s-style performances complete with poodle skirts, music, and nostalgic throwback vibes. She’s also an avid animal lover and rescuer who has helped everything from cats and dogs to pelicans, possums, snakes, and even alligators — much to her husband’s amusement, who jokes her last words will probably be, “Here kitty kitty!”
In her free time, Rebecca loves reading and writing and has authored two books, including a children’s book about organ donation inspired by her brother. The project is especially close to her heart, and she hopes to continue sharing it through organizations like Donate Life. The concept even includes a stuffed elephant with detachable cartoon-style organs to help children better understand a topic that can be both difficult and beautiful.
